TF Sport looks forward to points haul in British GT at Snetterton

TF Sport looks forward to points haul in British GT at Snetterton 1TF Sport are all set for the third meeting of the season as the British GT championship reconvenes this weekend (26 -28 May, 2017) at Snetterton, Norfolk.

The team are in second position in the GT3 Teams’ championship but despite some very impressive performances, have yet to stand on the top step of the podium, something they hope they can achieve this weekend.

“We’re aiming for a clean weekend first and foremost,” said TF Sport Director Tom Ferrier. “The first two race meetings haven’t been perfect but we have shown good qualities. If we get it all right at Snetterton we have the chance of a win and that is always the key objective.”

Jonny Adam and Derek Jonson secured a fighting podium at Oulton Park from 11th position on the grid in the #1 Aston Martin Vantage V12, but at Rockingham, struggled for pace after damaging the car early in the race and finished eighth. Jon Barnes and Mark Farmer also scored a podium at Oulton Park and was then seventh in the two-hour race at Rockingham in the sister #11 entry.

Jonny Adam #1
“I am really looking forward to Snetterton this weekend. It’s one of my favourite tracks on the British GT calendar and it suits the Aston Martin GT3 really well. We need two solid races to get back up in the championship fight and I believe that as a team we can achieve some silverware this weekend.”

Jon Barnes #11
“On the #11 car, we are in a similar position to last season, in that we have shown some strong pace over the first two race weekends, but haven’t really capitalised on it. That’s especially true for Rockingham, after starting on the front row but only coming home in seventh.

“However, Mark had a great weekend at Snetterton last year, securing his first ever Pole Position and we had a very strong points haul across both races, so we will be aiming to do the same again this year.”

Rounds 4 and 5 of the British GT will take place in Snetterton and it will be broadcasted on the British GT Championship official channels.
